“The thought of what that kind of new world might be like fills me with awe and trembling. I imagine that every community experience in that heaven on earth place will have a sense of translucence to it. As I experience the love of another - helping me, encouraging me, making me laugh, teaching me - I'll be able to see right through them, to the God who is help, encouragement, laughter and wisdom, to the God who made that other person. And even as I do the same for another - support them, play a game with them, listen to them - I'll have a clear sense of the God of all support, play and listening doing all of these good actions through me. It'll feel like I'm co-loving with Christ, co-listening through him. The whole moment will be saturated with triune communal love.”
Heaven on Earth, The Banner, Sept 2012, JVS

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
The Apostle Paul to the early church in Ephesus, Ephesians 4:1-6, TNIV

Q. What do you understand by the communion of saints?

A. First, that believers, all and everyone, as members of Christ have communion with Him and share in all His treasures and gifts.[1] Second, that everyone is duty-bound to use his gifts readily and cheerfully for the benefit and well-being of the other members.[2]

God – show your glory in our stories
bless the sadness of these days
and let the tears wash away the hesitation

sanctify the sorrow of these days we pray
and may your glory shine through your child’s story

be present we pray
as eternity has it’s way and wants to play
into the wonder of a brand new day
