Media @ New Hope CalgaryIn this message we’re going to look at the story of STARS air ambulance. What does the fact of the existence of such an organization tell us about who God is?

"We believe our first responsibility is to the patients we serve and that we cannot compromise this mission. In cooperation with hospitals and other allied services in the Chain of Survival, we will safely transport and care for our patients to the highest possible standard."
From the STARS Credo,

When I later became director of emergency medicine at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, I saw a lot of incoming people who could have been easily saved if time were on our side.’ [At that point, Alberta had a 50 per cent higher trauma death rate than other Canadian centres.] A young woman with a perfectly normal pregnancy came in from Eastern Alberta, and she died just before she got through the door because of a stuck placenta. There were the husband and the baby but no mom, and I thought,
This is crazy – we can fix it.

"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd,
he had compassion on them and healed their sick."
Jesus in Matthew 14:14, TNIV

"Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, 'Celebrate with me! I've found my lost sheep!' Count on it—there's more joy in heaven over one sinner's rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue."
Jesus in Luke 15:4-7, MSG

Very good. Many people make a difference in helping save lives. Stars is one
main link of the chain of survival. Only we as a team of professions with
the help from "God, Jesus and so many unseen angels of mercy can we truly
save lives or make someones pain and suffering less. Life is precious. Time
is to.
Amazing Grace says it all too well. Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and
grace will lead me home. May STARS always be just a call away.
