"I'm telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you're not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God's kingdom.”
Jesus in Matthew 18:2-4, MSG

“Yeah, it was gonna be a place where only things you wanted
to have happen would happen.”
Carol ( a Wild Thing), about a world he made

The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling [a] together;
and a little child will lead them.
Isaiah 11:6 (re: Heaven)

He doesn’t like being tied down… you musn’t press him.
He’s wild you know, not like a tame lion.
Mr. Beaver to the Kings and Queens in Narnia, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.
We are far too easily pleased.
C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory

Very interesting commentary on this film, but my question would be what happened to the Queen? For most kings, he would be lonely with a queen. Where does she ever come into the picture and be recognized? I know Jesus maybe didn't have a queen, only a Father in Heaven, but I think that something is missing for me in that regard. Thanks for your teachings nonetheless.
