According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two! Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.
Jerry Seinfeld

Moses raised another objection to GOD: "Master, please, I don't talk well. I've never been good with words, neither before nor after you spoke to me. I stutter and stammer."
GOD said, "And who do you think made the human mouth? And who makes some mute, some deaf, some sighted, some blind? Isn't it I, GOD? So, get going. I'll be right there with you—with your mouth! I'll be right there to teach you what to say."
He said, "Oh, Master, please! Send somebody else!"
GOD got angry with Moses...
Exodus 4:10-14, MSG

Don't be naive. Some people will impugn your motives, others will smear your reputation—just because you believe in me. Don't be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they've done you—and me—a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news! And don't worry about what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.
Jesus in Matthew 10:19-20, MSG

He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
The Prophet Isaiah, 49:2, NIV

God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, "Look! I've just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered!” The prophet

This is cute, but the actual reason for Fear of Public speaking is evolutionary. Back then, we didn't speak out from fear of being ostracized from our group. Our brains were wired to perform day to day activity to survive. Obviously public speaking doesn't fall under the category of day to day activity, therefore we've developed no innate sense of it.
I wish people would research things instead of just spewing out nonsense answers when trying to answer a question.

Usually the more nervous you are, the more important what you have to say is.
