Definition: Lust is the intense desire for sexual pleasure uncoordinated with and unsubmissive to the whole person. Unlike true love, lust has no commitment, it is fleeting, and it never satisfies. You are in the grip of lust when you say to another, even if only in your heart, ‘My needs are more important than your person; you are a means to the end of my satisfaction.
Cornelius Plantinga, Theologian

What Lust is not… mere sexual desire, appreciation, or physical admiration

“You know the next commandment pretty well, too: 'Don't go to bed with another's spouse.' But don't think you've preserved your virtue simply by staying out of bed. Your heart can be corrupted by lust even quicker than your body. Those leering looks you think nobody notices—they also corrupt. "Let's not pretend this is easier than it really is. If you want to live a morally pure life, here's what you have to do: You have to blind your right eye the moment you catch it in a lustful leer.”
Jesus (using a little hyperbole to make his point) in Matthew 5:27-30, MSG

“You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife…”
The 10 Commandments, Exodus 20:17

“Sex is currency/ She sells cars,
She sells magazines/ Addictive bittersweet, clap your hands,
with the hopeless nicotines
Everyone's a lost romantic, /Since our love became a kissing show
Everyone's a Casanova,/Come and pass me the mistletoe
Everyone's been scared to death of dying here alone
She is easier than love/ Is easier than life
It's easier to fake and smile and bribe
It's easier to leave / It's easier to lie / It's harder to face ourselves at night
Feeling alone, What have we done? /What is the monster we've become?
Where is my soul? / Numb”
Jon Foreman, ‘Easier than Love’, from the band Switchfoot

Novelas (soap operas) are too pornographic for me, but my current wife used to watch them.
Now she doesn't probably because she is too tired from work.
I avoid going to church so that I won't see beautiful women.
If my wife was more submissive then I would have a better life.
