Media @ New Hope CalgaryVoids, the gaps in our lives. Those mysterious voids that separate us from where we want to go, how we want to live, and who we want to be.

“I had grasped God’s garment in the void but my hand slipped on the rich silk of it.
the ‘everlasting arms’ my sister loved to remember must have upheld my leaden weight from falling, even so
for though I claw at empty air and feel nothing, no embrace, I have not plummeted.”
Denise Levertov, The Stream and the Sapphire, 1997

I patiently waited, LORD, for you to hear my prayer.
You listened and pulled me from a lonely pit
full of mud and mire.
You let me stand on a rock with my feet firm,
and you gave me a new song,
a song of praise to you.
Many will see this, and they will honor and trust you, the LORD God.
Psalm 40:1-3 CEV

This is a beautiful project! Moving and real -- perhaps a tad too raw for the nay-sayers. It plucks the heartstrings, it does!
