  Isn't god a human too? We all sometimes laugh at mistakes. At lot of the things she does say is true to others that are not of your religion. It's just how people are. Your wife must have gotten the wrong memo.

  In fact it's even stronger that it comes from someone who's not a christian, because it wakes me up to realize how the world sees Christianity at times. (again even if it's not her intent to convey this message) There have been many mistakes made by the church such as concentrating on money, treating God like a genie, or trying to put ourselves above God by making HIM do OUR bidding. I think these things are a horrible example of Christ.

  Even if this isn't what she meant, this is a meaning you could get from this song. Who knows what she actually meant, other than her? Either way,... people can get many strong messages from this song. I believe that everything she said was truth. It is possible, I believe, for God to use someone even if they don't realize or ask for it. I think God has revealed truth in this song that can bring me closer to Him regardless of what her original intent for the song was.

  Hey guys... when I wrote this message about Regina, there was never any intent to put words into her mouth, or to ascribe to her a faith she didn't profess. The thinking in behind this talk is that God might be saying something through Ms. Spektor whethere she knows it or not. JVS

  The first sentence is about how "We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him." Neither Regina, nor I , nor millions of others need another party's involvement in our relationship with God. We do believe in God: one God.
